 Quick Patch Notes June 4th

One change that wasn't in yesterday's patch notes:

Players won't be able to fire bows and spells while jumping by default anymore. You won't get these abilities out of the box. They will be re-introduced in the near future along with the introduction of many other abilities as options in an advanced character customization system designed to promote character diversity.

The rest were mostly fixes to issues that popped up due to yesterday's patch:
An issue where jumping removed the invulnerability shield was addressed
Corrected some hotbar issues
Dwarven sideburns will now be colored correctly
Some sound issues were addressed
Addressed chat window issue presenting itself when alt-tab'ing back and forth between Darkfall and other applications.
Fixed Endurance and Fitness skill gain

The weather system will be patched in tomorrow Saturday July 11th rather than today as previously announced.

In addition to the Darkfall Expansion presentation here are some patch notes containing more information:


Server Optimizations

There have been numerous bug fixes and optimizations performed on the server
An insurance system has been implemented, which in the event of a server crash returns mounts warhulks and ships to either the person who spawned them or to whomever was using them last

Crafting

New ingredients added (to be used for crafting Sithras):
Elemental Blades
Fibulae
Woodcutting now allows you to craft a door that can be used in your house
Ingredient requirements for crafting high level weapons have been reduced
Ingredient requirements for crafting high level armor have been reduced
Ingredient requirements for crafting high level mage staffs have been reduced
Gold income will be produced from all crafting and enchanting stations in clan cities. Every time a player crafts something in a clan city, a small amount of gold will be given to the clan that owns the city.
All new crafted figurines will weigh 100 kg
Support for Autocrafting has been added to all crafting stations
Support for bulk buying has been added to all vendors

Sithras have been added to the game:

Betrayer
Conqueror

High ranking weapons no longer give a penalty for use with low weapon skill
All Weapon damage has been rebalanced (Lower rank weapons deal less damage and higher rank weapons deal more damage)
Rank 80 weapons have been moved to rank 70
All protections for all armors have been increased (fire, acid, lightning, holy and unholy damage).

Gameplay

Maximum regeneration rate increased to allow stacking of food and resting bonuses
When targeting a warhulk/cannon/mount/ship you will now see who is controlling it
Decreased swim sprint speed
Killing someone when in a party will display a chat message to other party members about the kill
Killing someone when in a clan will display a chat message to other clan members about the kill

Nexus System

You need one nexus entrance and one nexus exit to use the system
You need to first place the entrance (do this by double clicking on the entrance in your backpack)
If you haven't built the exit within 2 hours, the (inactive) entrance will be destroyed
Anyone can destroy a nexus system
There is a timer countdown between each player using the Nexus
There is a limit to the number of players that can go through the nexus system
Anyone, friend or foe, can use a nexus system
You will have to wait for a timer (displayed on the nexus itself) to count down immediately after placement of the nexus exit before you can use it for the first time

New Mount
The Battlehorn features more health and several protections against magic

Monsters

AI tactics upgraded
Several AI exploits plugged
Monster melee attack speed decreased on several monsters
All Monster spawn timers have been rebalanced
Most Monster loot has been updated
Most Monster hit points have been rebalanced

Sieges

You can no longer build in a city when the city is part of a siege
Quests / Rewards
Dynamic roaming chests have been added to Agon. Explore Agon to find these chests that potentially contains House Deeds, scrolls, books, gold and much more

Title Quests(Achievements) have been added (Read more about them on the expansion page)
Fices to some quests that would not give out the correct rewards
Spells and Magic
The Mage in Adianthel now teaches spells and skills
Increased mana cost and cool-down for:
Death Fog
Flames of Vengeance
Ice Storm
Meteor Strike
Thunderstorm
Volcano
Arcane protection has been added to all rings/necklaces
Spell damage penalty from all armor has been increased
Unburden spell effect has been decreased
Extensions for Spells added:
You buy extensions for each spell
Only one extension can be on each spell
If you want to change the extension, you can just go to the Mage and buy another one
Buy the ability to jump while using spells with a small penalty to the spell damage
Buy extra damage for certain spells
Buy longer range for certain spells
Buy higher exit velocity for certain spells
The add-ons can all be bought from mages in clan city Mage Guilds

Player Housing / Village Control System

Player Housing added (Read more about it on the expansion page)
Every 3 days you need to pay tax to keep your house
If you have not paid your taxes within 8 days the house will be freed
Add tenants to your house by alternative use on another player
Use your journal to manage your tenants
A flag outside the house will remind you whether or not taxes are been paid for that particular house
Craft a door and install it on your house.
Other players can destroy your door by attacking your house.
Attacking a house that you don't own or aren't a tenant of will turn you rogue.
Find numerous extensions to your house throughout Agon (chests, monster loot, quests)
Give your house to a player by alternative use on the player you want to give it to
Pay the taxes of a house by targeting it, pressing alternative use and select Pay Taxes. (Anyone can pay the tax on a house)
Install personal crafting stations in your house
Install resource spawns in your house
Much more

Ships
Ship speed has been increased

We issued a small patch for both EU1 and US1 servers today:

A timer will be displayed on the Village Control Point when there's less than 1 hour left before it becomes vulnerable.
Village control points have had their hit points reduced
Mounted combat melee damage has been reduced.
We've performed several bug fixes and updates to the dynamic environment system
A visual update for City of the Dead ruins

Just some quick fixes in today's patch

*If you're a Clan or a Party member all your kills, ganks, and destruction will show up in a separate tab. (Clan Kills, and Party Kills). The same applies to revives.

*Clan control point high score list is available in the Player Journal

*Fixed the cancel button in autocrafting mode so it doesn't steal focus from the chat

*You can now write in the number of items you want to craft

*There have been several AI fixes and updates

*Baradron loot has been updated

*Visual updates to Dwarven Worker Houses

*Visual updates to several textures

    Quick Patch Notes für den 3. September

    Mostly fixes after yesterday's main patch

    • A bug where Air Magic wouldn't skill up with the same speed as other schools has been fixed
    • There were problems with some monsters that have been corrected
    • Some players couldn't advance past the loading screen and this has been fixed
    • Fixed a problem with sithra use off mounts
    • Heal mount cooldown has been reduced significantly
    • Fixed problems some players were having with books and scrolls
    • Some arrow protection has been added to mounts.

    Quick Patch September 4th

    More adjustment's to the last main patch:

    The following issues were addressed in today's patch:

    *A bug that made AI become unresponsive
    *A bug where some magic schools skilled up to quickly
    *Debuffing monsters will give you less gain than before (buffing and healing monsters doesn't skill you up faster than players)
    *An issue where a group of players were unable to spawn at their hamlet

    Bug Fixes
    • Fixed a bug involving open bags and the bank, what's referred to as the "bank bag bug".
    • You can no longer dismount under water
    • Addressed a bug which allowed riding your mount under water
    • Erroneous rank information on elemental bows has been fixed
    • Invisible Acid Rain spell has been fixed
    • Erroneous skill-spell descriptions have been corrected
    • Bugs where annotations not showing on the client have been fixed
    • Fixed a bug where the hotbar weapon indicator wouldn't update correctly.
    • Fixed various rare bugs on the client

    Corrections

    Your mount must be still to be able to dismount it
    The Heal Mount cool-down has been considerably reduced
    Balanced the overpowered Ravenous bow
    The Ravenous bow can no longer attack clan and hamlet stones
    Durability on elemental bows has been increased and tweaked
    The Air Magic advancement rate has been increased
    There have been several minor adjustments to the advancement rates of various spells
    Claw, needle and thread no longer have 0 weight
    We tripled the number of allowed user annotations
    Corrected several issues with the in-game browser
    Corrected and updated the texts of many quests

    Updates:

    Updated the chat window interface:
    Use tab and ctrl+tab to cycle tabs in the chat window
    Use ctrl+W or ctrl+f4 to close a tab
    Marking a line of text in the incoming chat area (left mouse and drag) will automatically copy the contents to the clipboard
    Monster AI tactics and strategy has been updated
    World Building updates in the following areas:

    Dulguna
    Anfagar
    Targaus
    Khosgar
    Gul Kral
    Velmuna
    Zirdnal

      Patchnotes 07.12.2009 Darkfall

      This is the first of a series of patches to fix some issues that surfaced with the latest expansion.
      Problems some players were having with spell extensions: extra damage, faster travel, and extra distance have been fixed
      Guard Tower damage has been slightly reduced



        • Fix for screen shot directory in Windows 7 where it wasn't created automatically
        • Fix for disabling blow effect not going away if killed while it was active
        • Fix for extremely slow Rage and Dwarven Perseverance skill progression
        • Fix for AOE spells going through houses
        • Ship Module crafting costs reduced
        • Warhulk Module crafting costs reduced
        • Fix for quest log on NA1 server
        • Fix for starter polearms being better than R10 weapons
        • Removed output for Dummy Effect Target when getting a melee extension
        • Fix for Bloodcraft and Shadecraft effect persistence
        • Fixed Keen enchantment of Magic Staffs
        • Fixed Feather encumbrance enchant on armor
        • Fixed most clan boards problems
        • Fixed some Quest Diary problems
        • Reduced health on player house doors
        • Generally improved monster loot
        • Corrected some monster attack rates
        • Balanced most monster protections
        • Fixed Oathliege spawn
        • General monster adjustments and balancing.
        • Campfires are now craftable under woodcutting.
        • Elemental Bows can no longer damage Sea Fortresses
        • Side Step when autorunning has been fixed
        • Fixed so that crafted staffs now do the correct damage according to their magnitude

        Patch Notes December 11th

        This is the third patch since the expansion. Noteworthy changes include:

        • You cannot mount a cannon while climbing a fishnet or a ladder
        • Transferred characters can now buy extra conscript weapons
        • Guard tower damage was lowered
        • Fixed a bug that didn't always allow you to learn a skill while reading books/manuals
        • You no longer need to click twice to get back to normal melee/archery attack after using an alternative melee/archery attack.
        • An issue with disabling blow/disabling shot was fixed where the victim couldn't block again if killed by the shots.
        • A bug was fixed where cool down on skills/spells wasn't displayed correctly on the client if you died and re-spawned which the cool down was active.
        • Made all village control points persistent across server shutdowns. This means that the timers will not reset after server-up and the previous owner will still own it if they haven't timed out already.
        • Kraken protections were fixed where players could use certain types of magic arrows to damage it. Kraken is for ships only
        • Cool down problems with volcano are fixed
        • Cool down problems with Toxic Rain were fixed.
        • We've also made small updates to various props.

        Patch December 16

        • Added global cool down to Whirlwind attacks
        • Smelting now skills up Industry
        • Fixed a problem where the Firescourge monster would not spawn
        • Increased drop rate for player vendors and safes in chaos chests
        • There is now an increased probability of rare item drops on monsters
        • There is now an increased probability of astrolabes and orb drops on monsters and wild life.
        • Spawning effects were added on mounts.
        • Knock back effect of Fireball has been reduced
        • Knock back effect of Inferno has been reduced
        • Knock back effect of Missile Fury has been reduced
        • Internal player forum issues have been addressed
        • Addressed an issue where players could sometime climb on top of Sea Fortresses
        • Increased prices on some shade crafted items and increased shade craftskill gain
        • You cannot jump more often than once every 10 seconds while being in water
        • Added filters in Clan News Reel for Village Control Points and Fortresses
        • Fixed a bug that prevented the casting of a spell when you selected a new spell.
        • Fixed a bug where the last battlespike of a stack (or if you just had one of each type)would only do 4 points of damage.
        • Fixed a bug where the penalty involved in buying new skill extensions wasn't always calculated correctly. (It would be calculated correctly after re-logging)
        • Fixed a bug in clan officer chat where only Generals and Supreme Generals could use it
        • Fixed a visual issue regarding cooldowns and their display on the client. If you re-spawned or teleported while the cool down was active the cool down did not display correctly on the client.
        • Fixed a bug where disabling shot would skill up even if you didn't hit a monster or player
        • Fixed a bug where upon login the previous map marker display selection was not honored.
        • Fixed a bug where Wild Life could sometimes walk on water.
        • Fixed a bug which created problems trading on a moving ship/warhulk.
        • Increased monster protection against mount attacks
        • There have been some Minor Monster behavior improvements
        • Updated the spell inventory of the Devil
        • Fixed a melee combat exploit regarding monsters on narrow passages (was affecting Menhirs)
        • Visual Effect updated on Desecration in Necromancy
        • Visual Effect updated on Evil Eye in Necromancy
        • Visual Effect updated on Infernal Shield in Necromancy
        • Visual Effect updated on Bludgeoning Weakness in Necromancy
        • Fixed a visual bug regarding Quest Rewards
        • Fixed some minor quest bugs
        • Added some more guards regarding virtual memory
        • Added some more guards regarding some bad router problems

        Patch Notes January 28


        • Fixed several issues relating to virtual address space.
        • Fixed handling of unstable and drifting system clocks.
        • Fixed a problem where you could, in certain circumstances, sprint without losing stamina after performing a double jump.
        • Fixed a bug where you could not destroy a city structure, if it had been disabled before a conquest challenge was initiated.
        • Fixed a bug where sometimes the disabling blow effect did not show up on players.
        • Changed so that if in game mode you press any of the shortcut keys to toggle i.e. mini map/paperdoll, these windows will not show up again in GUI mode.
        • Fixed a problem where your mount would stop if you tried to sidestep while mounted (you should not be able to sidestep while mounted).
        • Fixed tool tips for items placed on player vendors.
        • Fixed a bug that let you bind stone recall, house recall and teleport while doing a trade route run.
        • Fixed a bug in the persistence of trade route runs.
        • Fixed a problematic village in 'three pirates' where the large villa was placed inside a regular house.
        • Fixed so that healing spells or buffs that land on targets back do not produce blood anymore
        • Fixed a bug that could block player trading, if the player who initiates the trade dies before the trade is accepted by the other player.
        • Fixed a problem regarding the clan boards.
        • Added system message for damage on clan stones and siege stones.
        • Changes to Sea Fortress Timers: Sea Fortresses go vulnerable again after 3 days with a random factor of +-4 hours.
